New game! Try it out!
« on: August 28, 2013, 10:52:08 PM »

It's finally here! The thing that absolutely no one was anticipating or waiting for!

Download here: https://mega.co.nz/#!ZtQBWKwA!fkLYuCbHiJui3p-N0qbFtX_2Y4AqN_Vnyhz8j6h04TI
A couple more screens here: http://www.imagefap.com/pictures/4255595/Screens1?pgid=&page=0&gid=4255595

So, I decided to use that RPG Maker thing I've got to make an adult themed game, and the prototype is done! Rape your way through the world to become the next demon lord

The game itself is heavily inspired by the Rance series with a touch of Disgaea
Gameplay is inspired by hits such as The Legend of Queen Opala and Milf Town
Combat inspired by Ar Tonelico.

Morality system? Of course! Choose to flirt or rape your way through the game!
Flirt with shopkeepers for a discount or rape them and take their stuff!
Sexual themed monsters that you can beat down the old fashioned way or rape to defeat them!

Current lineup of PCs and NPCs

update 1: fixed black screen issue and a couple other things. Added more to the prototype build, including an 'ending.'

Looks promising. The dialogues are fun, and I like cream. I get a black screen after the picnic though. And you can't go backto the first town because the teleportation events are misplaced.
The encounter rate is on par with the Tales series, you might also want to lower that.

Same here. Loving what I've seen, but the picnic (specifically the fade to black at the end of the conversation after you've eaten) freezes the game. Last line: Hinata - "I think I'll finish up on my reading."

Thanks for the feedback! And that black screen thing is a very simple fix, I just forgot a fadein somewhere apparently, though I ran through it fine when I tested it, so it might be something bigger >< Hopefully, I just uploaded to wrong version, and I can fix it tonight or early tomorrow. Let me know if you have any other suggestions, too, or requests for characters. It'd be a very simple matter to toss in a Jessica Rabbit scene later on, for example.

Edit: Oh, I did forget to mention that the battles were one of the big things I was looking for help balancing. I, as the developer, knowing all the hidden stats and how all the mechanics work behind the scenes, will surely have a very different view of how strong a supposedly 'balanced' enemy really is.

Edit 2: Last thing for now. Please feel free to upload and spread this game around as much as you want. It has my (porn only >.>) e-mail in it, so any real important feedback should still reach me even if you upload it somewhere I've never been.

Well...
First of all, my opinion may be biased but... more lolis! I won't suggest a particular one, but I have a thing for Tabitha...

Err...

About the battles, I think that the last thing you want is a battle system where you just press attack over and over. A large panel of skills, equipment and items (you said you were inspired by disgaea, funny items with funny descriptions would be a plus (a horse weiner!)) is more than welcome, as well as a balanced exp curve.
A boss that hits like a truck and only requires high stats to defeat is boring too. Bosses with an attack pattern are fun though.

I'm really quite a fan of what you've got going on with the characters so far, but my personal preference is to get to break the characters a bit myself. I assume you've tried Harem, but if you haven't it's a fairly decent example of what I'm talking about (although having only tried this much of the game, it might already be what you're doing.) Even in Harem, though, the process moves a bit fast for my taste. I like the idea that the woman doesn't exactly like you at first, but the way you can make her feel makes her body betray her and her adulation sort of grows slowly beneath the surface until after a good bit of breaking in, she'll be like Cream and Hinata, begging for your abuse. I realize that Cream and Hinata are supposed to have been under your thumb for a while, so I'm not suggesting you change them or anything, and like I said, this may already be the way your planning to go, but if it wasn't, that's the kind of thing I'd like to see.

Another smallish problem:

After you leave the row of 3 houses to go into the next map, it is impossible to return. A simple fix would be moving the mapchange events to the far edge of the map.

And just a few RPGmaker pointers...

-Be sure to cover the map edges which are *not* exits. Trees, water, walls; reserve empty spaces for exits - makes a huge difference.
-Not sure what to use elements for? Use them as keys! Only light damage can harm XYZ boss; light weapons found in ABC dungeon.
-Try to keep frequently-used maps small and hub-like. Instead of a long narrow path from point A to point b, one reasonable area with gates to everywhere.
-Be sure to not punish people for not grinding enough. An extreme example is getting savetrapped in an area where enemies 100% chance kill you on first turn (Commercial SNES RPGs have done this!)
-Allow people to grind if they so choose - just don't make it a requirement. Bonus if grinding gets something good in a small amount of time.
-Resist the urge to leave all kinds of hidden easter eggs. Those things were used on consoles to sell printed guides and magazines; it isn't all that likely that anyone else will write a guide for your work.
-Give people plenty of freedom. A complete railroad path through the game kills a lot of the fun; roaming around is its own gameplay element.
-Always drop hints. Tell players where you want them to go and what you want them to do at any given moment. Make the messages repeatable in case they missed it by rushing through message boxes.

all in all not bad but there are a few things you should fix rethink:

-The ability striptease the girls get from wearing the bikini only works on enemies, which is not intended I think.
-There is no way way for hinata to replenish her lust unless using her lvl2 ability on her self, and all her abilities use lust, which in case of berserkers roar doesn't seem right.
-The description texts in the Status menu mostly don't seem to fit. (Cream has a text that doesn't fit her at all...)
-It is a bit monotone fighting the same slime-girls on the whole way to the Picnic, a second type of slimegirl with slightly different attacks could spruce up that section if you don't want to add a completely new monster to the area, also maybe reduce the amount of enemies you run into a bit.

This might be a newb question, but is there any way to increase the resolution?

Edit: Mine also stops at the black screen after the picnic.  It seems like other people have gotten past it, though.  Was there something you did to make it work, or is mine just not cooperating?

Updated with the black screen and a couple other fixes, including some skill fixes. I'm making slow progress to make this not quite a prototype and into an actual beta, like adding more skills, fleshing out the combat, fixing aesthetics and bugs, adding pictures and girls, adding animations to more skills, and so on :P

The next update will add the next town, a village of cat girls going through their heat! Also, a side quest with the reward being an item that allows your partner to attack normally! I couldn't find a spoiler tag, but this would be one if it existed, not that the plot is what everyone is playing for >.> The town will involve a dungeon with an angry forest spirit, and by the time you leave, you'll be king of the cats! New companion (Sawyer) will be given there, too!

When you choose to get the Flirt skill, it says you've gained the Improved Rape skill instead. You still get Flirt, and it works as intended (at least on Vanilla,) it just shows the wrong message.

Found a couple more bugs:

Seems you can trigger the lake boss fight again if you go back down to the picnic spot. You proceed through the whole battle and the scenes afterwards, but the game got stuck in a blackout after choosing a skill from the demon chick. (I chose Improved Rape this time, and the game isn't frozen, it's just that no map comes up after the fadeout... you can still access the menu, and you do actually get the skill from the demon [although that might not be the case if you choose Flirt again, or you chose Improved Rape the first time.])

Also, I'm not sure what happened, but either Hinata's ability to heal gets removed by an event, or it never gets added. I got her to level three beating the boss at the lake, and it said she got the heal ability, but I didn't try to use it until I'd been to the town, talked to people, slept with both shopkeepers and went back to the lake, so it could be something in town, but my guess is that Magic doesn't get added to her skill menu (either in this release in general, or where it would be added is blocked by the events triggered by winning the boss fight.

::Edit:: Loaded a game from after I got Hinata to level 3, but before I went to town, and she's still missing the Heal skill, so I'm giving more credence to the idea that the skill never gets added. (Though I'm still not sure if it's the a general thing, the boss fight, or some other unknown cause.)

::Edit2:: Just did some grinding on another save and got Hinata to level 3 on some standard enemies, and the Magic menu doesn't get added that way either. Also thought about it for a second and realized that Cream has a Magic menu to begin with, despite having no magic skills, so the problem is probably just that Hinata's magic skill menu is omitted in this release.

A bunny brothel? Does that mean that we'll be able to rent Cream's body for money? I'd love that.

Nice update overall, keep it up!
