Crash on "Next Week"

WM crashes with a 90% chance when i press "Next Week" button. I'm now on 10 month 18 days in game, and i think it started crashing a couple weeks ago. I'm using rev 485 from here. Can someone help me understand what's the problem?

My game also crashed at the "Next week" button occasionally
Got to one point where it crashes 100%
Tried firing/selling different girls without effect, then after a flash of genius I tried it without a matron, and what happens? The next week works.
Tried to change the Matron from one girl to another, game still crashes, but works fine without matron.
After that I tried some more thinking and locating of the bug, and I think I got it...
The game crashes (for me) if the matron tries to make the torturer rest.

I had no matron when this happened to me. Looks like different cases.

Crashes on "Next Week" always if the Log says "Init: disabling Torture".
I have no Matron at all, tried also to fire/sell Girls. Sometimes it helps, sometimes not.

I as well have a crash on next week problem. Selling girls does not resolve the problem and like Uriel, even without a matron and torturer the problem occurs.
I used to play r485 and crashes very rarely happened. Now I play (or played until I got frustrated by having to restart the game every day or every other day) r593 and crashes happen all the time.

Ah! Thank you! I've been puzzling over the crashing for hours, been testing for things like corrupt images.

i get another weird crash, if i have an empty brothel game will inevitably stop working.
i'm using the r593 version too.

I know the generation of new gangs can crash the game.
I know matron + Torturer as mentioned is flimsy.
I know the config file doesn't like zero or negative values (With some exception to negative values).
I know the game will crash if it tries to extract pictures from a folder that does not exist (IE: The girl's name is not the same as the folder's.)

Many of these are probably sortaeasy to fix so it doesn't crash but just creates a warning in the logfile, but it requires someone to do it. I do not voulenteer.

Guys. Had same problem. When i added all the new girl packs. I forget to readd the Mithra random girl.
Without those, gang going through the catacombs can crash the game.

So get a Mithra for for instance Cliff pack and put that one in your game dir.

Shouldn't crash any more.

Hey, i have the same problem. I do not have a torturer, i do not have any add on. Can anyone help?

Start the game. Load the save. Press next week.
Game probably crashes.

Post gamelog.txt from game (is in the directory with the whoremaster.exe).

And maybe I can tell you what's the matter

As Jaxter above says, I have found that the generation of new gangs is one of the causes of the crashes (a new gang will appear available for hire and it will have no name so there is a blank where the name should be).
