Any mods that make the game more difficulty besides whoremaster EX?

Since that project is abandoned, I'm wondering if there's a way to make the game difficult.

I don't know of any mods, but you could decrease funds dramatically and increase and decrease a number of variables in the config file. Knowing you care a lot about combat, messing with that would take you opening the game up and going at it from what's hard coded. It might be tough, or it might be as simple as going in and changing some numbers.

Not beyond limiting yourself to suboptimal decisions. Some things are either hardcoded or not respected by the game, like sabotage returns.
