Title: how do we beat this game?

ok so I've been playing for a couple days now, wiped out the four original gangs and new ones popped up, so how do we beat this game, is there an ending or is it just an endless stream of whoring and violence?

You beat the game when the original gangs are wiped out.

It's just that you can then play on in sandbox mode. New rivals pop up from time to time to keep you on your toes.
