They barely have any time to work at developing or even improving the game... Editor is not as important for most people :)
Like what we're doing?

i agree with nwn12, the editor is too limited atm.
a better editor means more and better mods and that means less to do for the developers.
the editor would be even easyer to use if its just a simple text-editor o.O

Blah... The way I understand it that the Devs are actually planning to stop the game development all together... they will finish make the game easier to mod and then finish the development all together. I would prefer them to work on the actual code for the game while we can figure out how to work with the scripts rather then them making the editor "easier to use"...

well i finished the DefaultInteractDetails.script and the DefaultInteractDungeon.script is closed to be finished but i cant get any further cos of the limitations of the editor so there's no way to release them as a mod (or even help the developers).
anyway, if they really drop the developement it would be much better to HAVE a good editor. you should'nt forget, the most h-games where improved by modders!

Where did you read this?
And even if this is a fact, I think the game is something like their baby, they wont give up, they would end version 1 und start with new ideas to version 2. Creative minds and critics are already here as a kind of source / feedback system.
If they need a new engine, I know 2 (one a 2.5D and the other true 3D):

Wintermute Engine 1.9:
http://dead-code.org/home/index.php/download/lang-pref/en/

Ogre 3D:
http://www.ogre3d.org/

So texting or collecting images is not the problem.
It's the coding. I can't do this.  :'(

Just invent formulas and calculate things.

Read it in my own post on WM on hongfire... I know it's weird but there is little we can do... Plus they've done a pretty good job so far, game is stable and modders arranged for an insane amount of girls. Asking for more is overzealous ;) Especially if they are working on other stuff. In any case, I'll second your  :'(

Yeah, its pretty much gone for updates of any kind. Simple user mods is about all there is left for it. Played it to death, so new stuff is fun too.

um, ya there was an script editor being made but the dev, DocClox, went on a well deserved Sabattical (due to lack of motivation, and too many disagreements).

Well there were disagreements, but that was some time ago. With Otherworld Development on fire atm, and other projects like clonemaster/birthright/gladiatrix all on hold, wm is quite low on the agenda. We'll have to see after august if there will be any changes, really just a quick fix of existing but not working content, and some tools would be great. The XML conversion might be asking too much now, if there could be an announcement on that, maybe those that have held back on making scripts with the existing tools might not have to worry about there work being broken in the future?
