If you are reporting a bug, follow these steps to assist us in finding the cause of your bug

1. Delete the "gamelog.txt" file from your game folder to clear it.
2. Run the game as you normally would until it crashes.
3. Create a zip file with your savegame and your "gamelog.txt" files.
4. Post your bug report with details of how and when you get the crash.

held tryouts at the arena, got girl (Talia Gladys).
She was placed in the arena automaticly after recruiting
tried to send her to the dungeon from her individual interface (while she was in the arena)
She "ran-away" but she was still there, and then next turn my gang recaptured the second Talia.
long story short we have made a cloning machine.

It seems that I can have the girls doing any job whatsoever so long as they are not "whore in [building here]."  For some reason, the girls are dying the week after they are placed on duty in the brothel, Casino, and/or strip club.  If they're whoring on the street, they're fine.  Doing any other job? A-okay.  Putting them to work inside a building, as a whore, is a death sentence right now.


If you'd already nailed down the problem, than awesome.  Consider this late input.  :D

What version? I cannot reproduce this bug?

Whore is still way to overpowered compared to rest of the jobs but it doesn't kill anyone.

LOL but it is pretty cool that you guys do get on top of the bugs.

All right, so shortly after I got the proper version... (Still sorry about missing that) ...I discovered that I couldn't load a save game.  I'm not trying to use an old save at all: It's a new game save.

I thought I'd seen this issue addressed once already, but I can't find it.  I'm attaching the log, and I'm hoping someone can point out where things are screwed.


I know I was in the middle of an experiment, so I'd jacked up several things in the config file using an XML editor only.  I'm not convinced this is what's causing the problem.




Any and all help is appreciated!

Hi, I found some problems which look like it may be bugs...
 
Titty pictures only show up in the game gallery but don't show up when
we are playing the game.
 
I notice some problems with pregnancy pics too...

Hi guys, I found a few bugs that I don't think anyone has mentioned yet.


The first one is a "free" clinic. Buy the clinic and exit and load the game without saving, you have both the clinic and the money you paid for it. Crashes the game after a bit. Haven't tried saving after loading.


The second one is when you select the next girl button in the new buildings, it sends you to girls in the first brothel instead of girls in the building you are in.


The third one is you can't make girls the matron in the new buildings if you have a matron in your brothel. Says you can only have one matron in this building.


That's it for now.

I downloaded .05e again, in the hopes that something screwed up in the download, but I'm still really puzzled at this error.


Refresher: The game is crashing when attempting to load a savegame file.  Happens with old saves, and brand new ones.




I'll let you know if this solved the problem.






EDIT: All right- That did not fix the problem.  Gents, I've gone from annoyed in the beginning, to puzzled, and now I've skipped right to pissed off.  I'm going to start examining each of the game files, but is someone could PLEASE tell me what the @%#$ is wrong with this thing, I'd be ever so grateful.

In the source, there are a number of potential ramifications of torture other than serious injury and mental traits. Unlike Masochist, Mind fucked and Broken Will which are temporary, these physical wound traits (scars, one eye, etc) are listed as permanent. If the mental traits are set to 'false' (normally rendering a trait permanent) they will never proc in torture (though an inordinately large temp duration works well enough), likewise to change the scar traits to a temporary value throws an error -so the problem runs pretty deep.

On a minor count there are (1) several spelling errors ('unfortunatly' in torture, 'brests' in milking), (2) a common crash when torturing multiple girls at once (increasingly likely with each additional girl selected), (3) a blank-but-for-the-torturee's-name text box when you accidentally seriously injure her and (4) an alert that a depressed girl killed herself while she is actually alive and (comparatively) well and residing in the dungeon.

Well, there is a whole bunch of unfinished/half-implemented code even in the official version. I suppose even more issues rise up when you try to build a game extension on top of that... I played a couple rounds in latest mod version, other than obvious bugs and whore job still being overwhelmingly powerful, this mod is very good.

When g_xxx.GetGirl is called, it's calling the cBrothelManager::GetGirl(int brothelID, int num) function in cbrothel.cpp line 3990. It looks like you've tried to reference different classes, but since you haven't defined a GetGirl function within those classes, it's using the GetGirl function in cbrothel.cpp. For example, g_Arena.GetGirl refers to the cArenaManager::GetGirl function. But there is no cArenaManager::GetGirl function, so it should be failing to work. I don't know why it's finding the cBrothelManager::GetGirl function, but it's using that instead. You need to define a GetGirl function for each of these building managers, so it can use the correct function and find a girl in the correct building. Currently, since it's using the GetGirl function in cBrothel.cpp, it's looking in the brothels instead of the correct building, and since you're passing a 0 to the function for the brothel ID, it's looking specifically in the first brothel.

Edit: Thinking about the way this is coded, this could be the source of a lot of your crashes, too. What happens when cycle_girls[cycle_pos] gives a value higher than the current number of girls in brothel 0? This could happen if there are more girls in any of the new buildings than there are in the first brothel.

Edit again: I figured out what the problem really was and a solution to the problem, so edited this. My last post here was based on incomplete information.
