For those confused and unable to scavenge some of the older packs, many of which were annihilated by mediafire. Providing torrents on this thread for easy download can be a saving grace. So feel free to post torrent links to any packs you might have deemed worthy of keeping on the nets.

Hi fist time poster here decided to make a account to get my hands on that massive girls torrent rather than hunting down girl packs :P (Thanks a ton for putting that together by the way!)



Anyway after extracting all the .rar's to \Resources\Characters the game crashes when starting a new game, at first I thought it was a item pack I threw into \Resources\Data deleting said pack still lead to a crash at new game. Fearing the worst I deleted everything in \Characters and voila game no longer crashes at new game.


I noticed that rather than having a .girlsx for each girl there is one for each folder named after the folder it is inside of.


So my question is: Could this be fixed by A. Going into each folder and ensuring that .girlsx matches the spelling of its folder. B. Copy and paste the contents of each folder into \Resources\Characters (This seems unlikely to me as each .girlsx file is named after its folder.) C. Rather than extracting all the .rar's copy and paste them as .rar's (Again seems unlikely but I'm not always right.) D. Something I didn't think of?

Maybe you should try to find out which one of girlsx files is responsible for crashes?
Copy them one by one and try to launch the game.

Alright I went through all the folders and moved the folders and .girlsx files and dumped them into \Characters and deleting the now empty folders, game still crashed at new game. So I decided to go see if I could find a error log found gamelog.txt scrolled to the bottom of that and found "Hatsune Miku\ani\anal1 could not be opened."


Hunting down Hatsunes folder there wasn't any folders, So I added a "ani" folder and moved all the pictures into \ani.


Bam game launches :D


Quick question should I have gone through and ripped the innards out of each folder or would I be better served just deleting everything in \Characters and re-extracting?

Well, it's not like I am paying for traffic... speed was also insane for deposit files, I usually download at 70KB/s from there, your files went at 1.2 MB/s but failed at 3.6GB without a resume option even with a downloader.

In any case, I got the torrent, there are 4 seeds already, at least two have 1.5 MB/s+ upload lines (Russian host that I was downloading from and me) so it should be fine.

I don't have all the girls, but I have most of them.  At current count, I have ~650 unique girls, and ~60 random girls installed.

Would it be possible to get all the functioning girls who aren't already included in the Hewhocumsbynight torrent into their own torrent?

Raw pull of all the folders in my characters folder, possibly some repeats and definitely a few girls none of you have (personal packs I forgot to copy out for sharing). Anyway once I finish the latest expansion and the torrent parses I'll be throwing up the .torrent in the attachments (I'd rather not seed it but 18GB is a bit big to part out and upload), keep in mind there's a few packs that screw up trait wise with the combined mod but I've been chewing away at updating all the girls to it.

I've also been recategorising the images, policing the file size to quality ratio, normalising/updating stats and traits, killing duplicates (probably missed a few due to surname and forename order. Plus multigirl .r/girlx's add to that) and adding new images as the mood strikes me/I find them. Also been switching over any character alias to their real name and will be starting to update their display name to their most known name (for instance Barbara Gordon will display as Batgirl, should be possible in theory but need to get around to checking that function works as suspected in the code and implement it across all the girl's files).

Currently at: 1100ish (assuming I've accounted for the default folders correctly)

Damn man, I thought my folder was bad! That's a nice collection. Come to think of it, mine might have come close to that if I added anime girls to my real girls. But holy hell, that's an excellent collection.

It weighs in at about 18GB of images and is five years worth of collecting/making any girl files that interested me.

Currently at: 1100ish (assuming I've accounted for the default folders correctly)

Just to put in an uninvited two cents: When I started looking for methods to share my girl files, I looked at torrents but didn't like the way the operation worked. I chose Mega.nz instead. I think you should consider Mega, too.

Mega.nz is great for data sharing up to 50 gigs. Get a free account. Download the megasync tool. Set the bandwidth that megasync can comfortably use in the background of your network connection without impacting other needs. Point megasync at the directory containing your existing character files. Generate a secure pointer pointing at the umbrella directory on megasync.  Publish the pointer.

After the initial sync period, you do not have to maintain or seed a torrent - all the bandwidth is between the people wanting the files and Mega. You aren't involved.  Then you just maintain your girl files as normal, and if you leave megasync running, everyone automatically gets access to your updates instead of you having to rebuild and disseminate torrent files.

Just saying - it's pretty trivial that way.  Mega is maybe not the be all and end all for all data sharing solutions, but it beats the heck out of torrents. Torrents are slower for the end user to download, harder for the creator to maintain, and have a constant drain on your network and computer even if you aren't changing anything.

You don't even have to zip up anything. We all know the girls directory structure, so we can find what we need. Just because I zip each girl up individually, doesn't mean it's necessary.  In fact, I've been considering converting over to a non-zipped directory myself. For image and animated gifs, zipping doesn't really save a lot of room - it's mostly just for the convenience of downloading one file instead of three or four.  But get this: Mega allows the user to select a set of desired files, and then download them as a single zipped file! Which means you and I don't need to zip anything up - Mega will do it for the end user as they desire.

Shit Capt, now I need to look into that tool man. Seriously, I actually had no idea that could be done with Mega. I'm still scratching the ass of what can be done with it. Though I gotta say, I do have some trouble downloading from Mega at times, but that was pretty easily solved using Jdownloader2, which I use anyway.
