As far as I know the gambling/dancing/waitress jobs don't exactly work right.  I used to think having those positions filled would increase customers and/or desirability (forget the exact term, been a while since I played) but after playing for extended periods of time the desirability seemed really really random and customers didn't increase or decrease regardless of having those other positions filled.

I actually don't recall there being an increase in customers by having a girl doing advertising either.

As far as the rest of them, it's pretty self explanatory. Guards and catacomb explorers need high combat obviously.

I would love to know what the jobs mean and if there is a point to the bar or gaming hall because there doesn't seem to be one.

My new game, I had set it house rules to solely Anal, and I had trouble staying financially afloat. I put a few girls on Bar jobs, and the customers flooded in after that. I also had about 1000g/advertising but that was on before I put some girls in the bar.

So basically, I always thought that the other jobs were just filler, as they didn't work as intended, but maybe if you limit your house rules too much, the other jobs become useful to lure in more customers.

Stats? The jobs are lowly paid either way. Strangely enough, the girls in the bar who got screwed during their shift also only did anal, following the house rules. I'm certain that when not working within the brothel, the house rules are disregarded and any style is in play.

Yeah. The trouble is that an experienced girl draws in too many customers. The bar and casino jobs bring in the punters, but you generally don't notice because by the time you can spare girls to work the bar, the customer supply is abundant enough that you no longer need them.
It's a balance thing.

Really we need to dig the maths out of the game, and give it a good going over in the forums.

mmm... the job filter started life because some people didn't want to see bondage/anal/tentacles/whatever in their game, and asked to be able to exclude it. It didn't apply to bar sex originally, which was reported as a bug and subsequently fixed.

At this stage, I don't think it's likely that we'll see separate filters for bar and brothel.
