IE9 beta
« on: September 16, 2010, 05:32:45 PM »
The forums don't seem to play nice with it unless I go into Compatibility Mode.  Mediafire is wonky too, I seem to be unable to 'save' files from them but 'run' works fine.

I know this is probably considered a non issue with it being a beta and all, but I just wanted to put that out there in case its still an issue down the road (or other users need to know, of course.)

I thought they were working on better standards compliance for IE. Oh well.

Actually it seems to be working fine now.  I don't know what was going on before.
My downloads are broken for more than one site though.  I have no idea what's going on there, you'd think downloading is such a basic thing it'd be hard to screw up :p
It is one hell of a browser though.  About time Microsoft started to make things people actually wanted to use  :D

Or one that doesn't actively drive their users awa in droves, at any rate :)

Use Chrome or Firefox - why suffer broken sites for the sake of brand loyalty?

I was using Chrome.  I no longer have Chrome installed.
Firefox sucks.

I might add I have no brand loyalty when it comes to browsers :p
And I'm not suffering :)

Well, if you can't download from sites where you would usually, then you're inconvenienced, to say the least.  Personally, I'd reinstall Chrome, if you can't stand Firefox.

Why put up with missing functionality?

Seems to be working fine now.  I've changed a few things since I posted that so don't know what the problem was.
