i made a small experiment with income.
i bought a girl didn't hire guards didn't hire matron didn't do anything but put her to work in the daytime with brothel.
result negative income. turns out she doesn't get any money from customers. either you removed the line that shows what she earns OR she doesn't earn anything.
i tried the same with two girls and with three girls. same result NO INCOME!
no wonder i find it hard to start out in the game.

Tried this and got income like normal...
Maybe you have changed something in your game that causes this.
I'd say check the config file and look what multiplier you got on income fro working in a brothel. If thats not the case, have you checked if the girls really worked or did they refuse to work, or any other factors that could be affecting the girls, like that they just didnt get any customers that shift.
If nothing works, I'd suggest to download the game again.

I don't experience the same effect. Post a save game and I'll check it out.

...Are you sure this is the most recent version? I remember before, one of them didn't actually give you any money, so it had to be fixed.

finally figured it out.
assault and rape blocks income, when i changed the chance of rape to the 2% / 5% suggested i started generating money from the beginning.
just shows i need to read the threads more carefully before moaning :(
