I would like several things...

The first thing that I think would improve the game,  Would be more "events", both random and set. For instance, on day 35 have something happen, and if you have a woman advertising on an odd numbered week, you have a 12% chance of this event happening, but it will only happen once... Things like that.


Why?


Because it gives the game a stronger story and more replay value. As it is now, you just get a small back story and then it's just sorta... "Heres a brothel, go get women, the end".  It really cuts down on replay value.


The second thing would be to even out the end game mechanics.


Maybe make having a woman a bigger deal. A full brothel would be 10, instead of 25.


Why?


It cuts down GREATLY on micromanagement, something that really kills the fun later in the game. It's nearly impossible to even check the status of each girl when you have four full brothels, not to mention how over powered and out of hand the enemy gangs get if you've done a decent amount of sabotage missions. You're better off avoiding them all together, else you risk creating new,significantly stronger gangs. My dungeon is inundated with slaves that I mass brand and sell.


Include options to add either a casino or bar to a brothel, and include more status about each one.


Why?


I have no clue what hiring staff for these even does. I never assign any girls to these positions, they seem to make less money in the daily status and there is no up side to having them in there. Maybe if it told me how much money I made, and then said "xxxx amount came from the bar/casino". I would have one or the other, because having both in a brothel makes it a bit hard to manage due to the high amount of people you would need (which could hopefully be cut down) and the amount of women you should be able to keep in a brothel.


Make unique girls have a different colored name.


Why?


Because I accidently sell these off in mass branding and sellings, as I talked about. It's a waste, and I'd rather keep a girl with a cool story, even if she has lower starting stats.


There are more, but I can't even think of them. Just some idea's I had while playing.

One of the things that's already in the works for the game is event triggers. You could use a number of things to trigger events (turn #, conversations with girls, etc.) There is (or at least was) some very basic functionality for this before (in the form of 'meet girl' scripts... one already existed for when you met Cammy that provided a slightly different interaction with her when you meet taking a walk in town than the default that comes up for every other girl.) Once everything gets ironed out, I had the idea that these scripts could be used to interact with girls you've hired or captured, and if you meet certain criteria (scaring a girl enough, torturing her close to death, making her fond of you, buying or finding her special gifts, or curing her of some terrible flaw like deep scars or infertility,) you can convince them to tell you where other girls (generally from their own universe; e.g. Sailor Venus tells you where to find other Sailor Soldiers, or Naru Narusegawa tells you where you can find Shinobu/Motoko/etc.) are hiding. Of course, I'm fairly sure you could use the same trigger system to get unique items, or gold, or possibly even access to a new brothel or a new section of town (check the Town Wards thread.)

I know I went off for a while there, but I'm fairly excited about the potential for the event scripts and how much they could potentially spice up the all too routine routine of managing the brothels at the moment.

Defiantly! It would add sooo much to the replay value. It would be great if there were different choices as well, I guess for even more replay value.  I feel that the biggest flaw in this game is falling into a routine without something of more interest to happen, or more challenging. You just hire then gangs, catch tons of monster girls, brand them... Whore half of them out in the day, half at night, have on matron and one cleaner and that's really all that you have to do other then hit the "next" button.

And fap to the pretty pictures.


But that's beside the point. The scripts will make it a lot more exciting. I think it would be cool if there would be quests, too.

I really wish I could help more, but I can't. I'm taking some programming classes soon next semester, but I don't know if i'll learn enough to do all this stuff.


Electrical engineers need to learn some programming, and programmers need to learn some physics, not never enough to do each others jobs... Still, I'd love to help if I could.

I've actually got a whole bunch of absolutely no experience coding... I'm praying that the script creation system will be incredibly simple, so that I can put some of my ideas into action without an incredible amount of frustration.

Micromanagement is only unfun if you're trying to speed through things. Take your time.


Right now, I have all the brothels, and most of them are filled with nonslave workers...


Except for two, being filled with my favorite uniques, who I spend time making sure they have a son and a daughter, and maxed stats.


See, I'm the type to play the same game in different ways over and over. I'll play on easy mode, then make it challenging by only using x or not buying anything.


There ARE ways to make it less monotonous, you just have to not play it the exact same way every time.


Hint: Try never kidnapping.

The Dev. team had stated that they are 'finishing production' on WM to start work on their other games. Due to this, i personally had stopped making suggestions. However, there have been a few murmurs about a WhoreMaster 2 that may begin sometime in the future. If this is true then maybe some of the communities' fresh ideas could be posted in another thread. Someone could start a new thread (possibly a sticky??) Something like:

'Whore Master 2 suggestions'

Since Venusblue just reopened the door to posting some new ideas, here are a few that i'd like to add (albeit, nothing will come of it, but at least, they will be read):

METATAGS!!

(i don't know what the current 'event triggers' will look like when complete, so maybe something similar to meta tags is already in the works??)

The idea is this: every girl in the game would have meta tags applied to them when they are created.
(This would require an overhaul and update on the current WM girl editor program.) Sites like gelbooru.com use metatags for doing searches on pics. Some examples of metatags on girls in the game would be like this:

anime name - (name of series)
videogame name- (name of game)
videogame type - (RPG, Fighter, survival horror, etc.)
girl class type - (mage, FistFighter, SwordFighter, etc.)

Those are just a few of a possibly huge list of metatags. Would it be a pain in the ass to apply metatags to the girls during creation?? - Probably.
But the advantage to having tags on the girls would allow the communities' script writers a chance to write in 'complex' script events.

Some examples:

1) The player does 'take a walk' in the magic Town Ward section on the map. The game would then run a script for that section of the map to 'search for girls with the metatag == 'mage'. The game would then load a script of only girls tagged 'mage'. Making the possible girls to find, appropriate for the area.

2) The player does 'take a walk' by the docks. Triggering the 'Girls Only Fight Club' event script. The game would run a meta search for metatags == 'FistFighter'. Then the game would only load girls tagged "FistFighter". The player could then engage in a minigame and bet on the possible outcome of the girl fights, or trigger dialog events. Offer to sponsor one of the girls to receive training in fighting so she can come back to the Fight Club later to win matches.
Examples of some of the girls that would have the tag 'FistFighter':
Cammy (street fighter)
Chun-Li (street fighter)
Tifa Lockheart (FF7)
Sonsaku Hakufu and Ryomou Shimei (Ikku Tousen/Battle Vixens)


3) This week the city of Crossgate is being invaded by undead!! The only girls that would load are girls with the metatags == 'survival horror'. The Crossgate authorities could come to you requesting aid:
"Pardon us sir. If you could help us in ridding the town of these undead, we would gladly compensate you for your time and energy." The player could then assign one of his girls with the metatag 'survival horror' to do the job of combating undead for cash, items, increase or decrease in suspicion rank. 

4) Boss fights in the catacombs. Player encounters "Grimmjow" from the Anime bleach. Only girls from the Anime bleach are able to fight him. The game checks Metatags on the girls that have the tag "Bleach". That girl/s then would have to be assigned to fight Grimmjow.

Metatags could be listed on the "more details" screen for every girl.

If metatags were added accurately to each girl during creation. The community script writers could come up with many different complex ways to interact with entire groups of girls instead of just making one script per girl. Admittedly, metatags would be time consuming to set up at first. Lazy players wouldn't have to add metatags to some girls if they don't want. The girls without tags would just be treated as they are now.They would just load as random girls in the catacombs, take a walk option, load in the slave markets, etc.

Implementing metatags on the game now i suspect would be a monumental task. But if the Devs. are taking ideas for a Whore Master 2... then maybe...

Well, we do have user defined traits planned, which can serve as tags. The difficulty is going to be getting some level of consensus among the girl creators as to what tags to use for what. Otherwise we'll get one girl tagged as "martial artist" one as "unarmed combat" another as "fist fighter" and none of them would trigger the "FistFighter" tag.

Hopefully consensus will emerge.  It's a decent idea, although there are a few things to consider

Well, in the case of the fight club event, we'd need the event to trigger in place of the regular one, which should be doable. Then the Lua script cycles through the available girls and discards any it doesn't like.

The zombie apocalypse is a harder case, since it needs every selection to respect the tags, including vanilla girl lists for slavemarket and catacombs, and also other modders events. There's also a question of what happens if the player triggers fightclub on zombie night. Do we discard all girls who are not undead bare knuckle experts? Combinations like that could lead to a lot of events unexpectedly getting no girls.

Well I don't see the micromanagement as the fun part, I see the RPG and business management elements as the fun part. I like making the decisions and running the brothels, finding different ways to make business as profitable as possible and whatnot.


What is the advantage to having non slave workers? I find that slave workers are all more efficient, since you make almost twice as much money. I only have a few non slave girls in order to fill roles like matron and stuff.


Why not kidnap? I've never done kidnappings before, actually. Why are they so good, or what's up with them? I haven't done them once before.

If you kidnap, then you quickly get an enormous number of girls. It breaks the game pretty quickly.
