A question regarding the "Lactation" stat - will lactation-related traits hasten the process of the girl "regenerating" her milk, so she gets more than 1% Lactation per day or will they merely add a temporary/permanent +xx% boost to the stat?
Also, can someone tell me if this forum has a goddamn spoiler function? I know what it feels like to see posts composed of walls of text and I'd rather condense them somewhat.
Now onto the business of copypasting my concepts and ideas:
-Rename Tiredness to Stamina, and have it decrease through work. It's just my opinion, but it seems much more intuitive and clear. That way you have to worry about all stats not getting too low, instead of keeping health high on one side, and tiredness low on the other. On a minor note - I really like the RPG "trinity of status bars" in the form of red Health, blue Mana and green Stamina.
-Lust. A flexible stat standing next to Health, Happiness and Tiredness. Reduced through sexual acts. Gained with time through Libido, depending on how high it is. When it's high or maxed, the girl loses Happiness regularly and performs worse in every non-sexual job, and may be willing to do things despite her Rebelliousness limits.
Nymphomaniacs would have a permanent minimum of a certain amount of Lust.
Same with girls who would get addicted to sex through being exposed to it too much.
I imagine there's plenty of other uses this could have.
The difference between Lust and Libido would basically be that Libido is more a permanent characteristic of a girl, whereas Lust is more of a temporary effect that fluctuates depending on time and certain conditions.
-Hygiene. Flexible stat. How clean a girl is.
Maxed out back to 100 whenever she takes a bath. Girls with low hygiene will automatically take a bath in free time. Hygiene deteriorates in time, and more so through sexual acts or farm work. How clean a building the girl works in could also directly affect how quickly she loses hygiene.
At first I thought of this as nothing more than a joke idea, but then I realized that it gives another pretty realistic and interesting mechanic of maintaining girls. Especially so since the "Bath" image type was added.
Most importantly a girl's hygiene regeneration/degeneneration could be dependant on the currently mostly useless accomodation quality.
On the other hand... hygiene is the kind of stat that seems easily redundant and could simply be included in "Happiness". I mean, should hygiene be added, wouldn't that give more incense to the girl's other needs to be added as stats to be managed as well? Like hunger, thirst, and whatever the fuck. Seems a bit silly.
-Reputation. This idea is really far-fetched, since we have Fame already. Reputation, however, would be directly influenced by Fame, Dignity and Refinement and affect the quality of the girl's customers instead of their quantity. So it would affect the amount of gold she makes off her clients but whereas Fame states "HOW well a girl is known", Reputation would be "WHAT is this girl known for".
Another difference would be that while Fame generally increases during any job (and should decrease when the girl doesn't show herself in public), Reputation would decrease if the girl is doing "low-class" jobs, like street whoring. It would also be directly related to the girl's refinement.
Ultimately though I have to admit this is kind of a redundant stat idea.
-Fertility. Make the pregnancy chance stat visible. Would also provide a clear outline of traits like "MILF", "Mature" or "Broodmother" directly affecting the girl. Usage of anti-conception methods (items) would effectively lower fertility, maybe even setting it to 0.
-Remove the "Spirit" or "Obedience" stat. They're basically serving the same function as different sides of the same concept.
Since "Morality" includes the concepts of both a good (high morality) and evil (low morality) girl, "Spirit" should include the concept of a disobedient (high spirit) and obedient (low spirit) girl.
There's also the case of the name "Spirit" in itself. Nothing all that wrong with it, but the word itself has many meanings. Perhaps "Temperament" would be a better name for the stat? You know, a tempered person is usually someone obedient, disciplined...maybe "Discipline"? Although that may be too militaristic...
-Dignity and Refinement copy-pasted, for the sake of having everything in one post, from my post in the other thread:
Dignity would serve the purpose of defining how low has a girl fallen morally and how much she enjoys being degraded. Decides the limits of her disgust towards sexual acts and people/things she's willing to do it with.This doesn't mean she can't act proper on the outside, during everyday life. Which brings me to...
Refinement: how well the girl presents herself to others. Her manners and grace. The lower it is, the more of a trashy, common slut the girl is on the exterior. The higher it is, the more of a high-class exclusive courtesan impression she makes.
These stats wouldn't exclude themselves.
For example, a girl with high refinement but low dignity would be a graceful, exclusive-looking lady, but would be willing to do whatever vile, filthy thing the client desires after she enters the bedroom. And she'd be happy about doing it, too.
A girl with low refinement but high dignity would appear as a common street whore, but be less than thrilled to do something filthy at the client's request. Which doesn't mean she wouldn't do it, just with disgust.
The stats would also give much more purpose to traits like "Slut" (much lower dignity and refinement), "Bimbo" (slightly lower dignity and refinement), "Princess"/ "Queen"/"Noble" (higher refinement) and so forth.
