I like the general idea of the map, being more of a city landscape, and I like the layout of the buildings. But I think the image quality of the buildings will need to be a little better before we can adopt it into the mod. Still it is a nice alternative.

Update 2: increase the quality

Map is remodeled. Think I went too far with a  map resolution, slows down a bit when open map in game.

Ok, I will try to remember update the screenshot )
In Update 2 map size is 2745x2217 and it slows a bit map screen, but have a nice quality.
Currently working on a little smaller size.

Add :
Update 3: New map size 2131x1719, no more big delay, added effects and shadows.
Update 4: Remove and remodel "Headers" from .xml, now they part of map.

Great job, I've started to make a map for this with Cartographer but gave up fairly quickly. Well done!

Any chance you're good with Photoshop as well and have a load of free time???

Thanks! This is my first job in Cartographer, I just tried. Bad that Cartographer 3 have small amount of a city landscape. Trying to move some of them from Cartographer 2.
In Photoshop and Illustrator im rookie, just sometimes necessary to use.

Update 5:
- Cosmetic improvements
- New icons for Clinic> Arena> House> MayorOffice> Market> Center> Bank
Map looks better in the game than in the screenshot

Think is the latest version until it exits new game update.
If you have my older version, advise you to download latest.

What have you got in mind, Xela?  I may be able to assist.

 I wanted to translate/update a skin (for original WM) made by a Russian designer for 1.0 release of crazy's mod. The trouble is that skin was never 100% finished in the first place and now crazy and PP made a whole load of new screens that would also have to be taken care of. Skin has a really complex design (10 - 20 layers for buttons, 40+ layers for screens with advanced techniques). Now that I've also started to develop my own game + helping out with Alkion when I can, there is simply no time to undertake on a photoshop project of that magnitude so I am just making Buttons/icons for crazy when he PM's me.

 So if anyone here has some free time on his/her hands AND knows Photoshop really well, you could give it a try.

Well, I'd have no problem it Photoshopping whatever needs to be done. I was just thinking about the pitiful amount of Russian I actually know, and realized just WHY my translations would be a bad idea!  :D

I'll get back to you on Saturday. Translation is not really a problem, making new screens is. I'll PM you and Gizmo (who speaks Russian by the way) .psd source files this weekend, like I've said, those are made by a professional graphical designer using techniques that took me a long while to figure out (And I am still puzzled by a couple of his layers) so it may take a while to make more skins of this quality.

Well... blank buttons are not the problem. His layers are named in English so you can actually translate most of the buttons without even resorting to Google translate. In any case, I've PMed PP, Gismo and Ftrill source files for graphics. Have fun with it :)

I don't remember. I'm working on a remake of original SimBrothel so I don't have time to play WM, nor do I currently have it installed on my laptop...

You need to adjust .xml files to get skin to work properly. It's like I've said: this skin is complicated as hell. If this was easy or could have been done fast I would have taken care of it myself.

No offense intended here, it's a nice looking map, but... the problem I have with most decent looking city maps like this one is matter of scale. Crossgate is supposed to be massive, as it also should be to support such a large potential number of brothels. Most good city maps that you might find online or create using city builder software are rather small scale in comparison. Granted, a smaller scale is needed to show much detail in city layout and building composition and so forth, but to me such cities just look too small, more on the scale of a middling town.

Pet peeve aired, and it does otherwise look like a nice map. ;)

Actually, something Crazy thought of, was for us to put in a way to have more than one map... which you could then move between maps. If we manage to get around to this, then the smaller maps would work out fine...

Otherwise, I still like the basic idea of a more city/village like map, such as what you are working on.

Hey man, that would really suck since my laptop is 1280x800 :(

I found my old files for crazy's mod 0.4 version. .xml set to work at 1200x800 there, please see if you can figure it out, I would really appreciate a version with resolution within frame of 1280x800.

Those are all hard coded so there is no .xml file for them.

My game crashes as soon as I try to enter the Brothel Settings screen. I'm not 100% sure whether this is because of your particular mod, if it's a different mod or if it's a combination of the two, as I haven't been able to download a fresh .05e install. For the rest, I do like the look of the new skin pack as a whole, as well as the 1200x800 support. There's a couple of things I'd like to point out though that I think could be improved upon, take them for what you will:

- The icons on the map can sometimes be difficult to see, making it rather difficult to see where exactly one should click in order to go to that building. For example, the Community Center button isn't highlighted (on mouse-over it looks the same as normal) and the Prison button is about as grey as the background. Another thing is that the building outlines are very defined (with their black edges), making the map look a bit... cluttery? I don't know exactly how to put it, but the map looks very "busy". In the old map, the map was sort of like a background, where the points of interest were easily identifiable. In this map I feel like I have to search too much, because every building looks important somehow.
- In the Girl Details window, the 'Back' button text is a lot larger than the rest, making it look a bit out of place. I think this button is used in the Gallery as well, perhaps in other places too.
- The BDSM button in the 'View Gallery' section looks blurry compared to the others.
- In the Girl Management window, would it be possible to have the same wooden look in the background on the left half of the screen as on the right half in the Brief Information window? The background now is plain (off-)white, making it fairly bright to look at. The same goes for the Transfer Screen window, the Dungeon window, and perhaps more. If a background can't be set for those windows, a slightly darker background would be appreciated.
- The button in the market says 'By Selected Slave', should be 'Buy'.
- The button in Girl Details says 'View Gallary', should be 'Gallery' (not sure if that's what you meant).

Very nice job overall, keep up the good work!

I forgot that I play this on my laptop and my Main. When I play it with the regular settings, it won't pop up. I had to shrink it down to 1200X765  :'( even then it doesn't look too bad.

Ok when you first enter the website and you see the numbers of a captcha, right below where you enter it in there will be the download button. Then after that there will be a link you can click on in blue text to start the download. I hope this helps you and anyone who want to download this mod! ;D 8)  If that fails, just translate it in english with chrome or any other web browser you use. :D

The reason for this bug is the building_setup_screen.xml.
The definitions for Hire and Fire are twice coded.

I'm having the same bug, but my building_setup_screen.xml doesn't seem to have any duplication in it. Could you maybe be more specific about what we should be looking for?

Sure! I got a little bit rusty in writing in English, but I will give it a try.

If you open the folder Map+Int 1280x800 upd 1\Resources\Interface\classic
and edit the building_setup_screen.xml, you will see that there are the buttons "Hire" and "Fire" - twice!
The original names are "CasinoHireButton", "BarHireButton", and of course the opposite.

Another thing that bothered me, was the size of the screen (width = 2,height = 2).
That's a little bit strange.

And the third that differs: the number of "Toggle Buttons"
Well, it depends on the version you are using, but in my .xml was "Titty" missing.

seems to work for 0.5h aswell...I applied the files and was playtesting already...didn't receive any errors

Edit:
Ok I get a game crash whenever I try to enter the bank in town..the other buildings seem to work fine

Managed to complete this last night, forgot to upload it and post it here.
Since I know someone will ask, I've tested this with both 05h and 05i. I have not set up either summary or gallery for the simple fact that I don't have the source files to create the backgrounds.

Oh, it's nice to see someone who is able to make some graphical content.
Aeovojoey was looking for someone like this to make the new farm icon and whatnot.
Great job on this UI, much better than the original one IMO.

since you're not dead, mind if I post a suggestion?
Make the city map big. Like, metropolis kind of big. Your current map is very aesthetically pleasing, but it looks like a small, simple village.
