Good luck with balancing the mod, I am sure it'll be good as long as it is more difficult than normal version... It will be month before our port is ready and I want a fresh WM mod to play in the meanwhile :)

BTW: Will girls working all jobs gain experience equally? Or will "Whore" job level up the girl quicker than anything else? Oh, and can you make purchasing bar/casino available in all brothels? It really pisses me off when you can't hire personnel for those in 3 or 4 out of 6 brothels...
Ah, I forgot about the experience difference. I'll balance that out if I didn't already, thanks for the reminder.

You can't automate bar/casino staff and you can't automate advertising in EX. You have to staff those jobs using game dealer/advertising/barmaid/waitress/etc.

So is that version you keep mentioning going to be Russian only? I think you said it would be in Russian at least.
This is the last week of bug fixes. Barring anything catastrophic, development of a "sequel" to WM EX begins next week. If there is a major bug that hasn't been addressed, say so now or you're going to have to wait quite a long time for it to be fixed.

Good call, the trouble is that when staff for bars and casino is not hired, I fell like there is no bar/casino :D

I'll translate it into English so both will prolly be released at the same time in a couple of month. Now we are writing out the concept and programing game system. I am also learning to code myself, I even managed to transform rooms pics into imagebuttons and create new screen for each room in the brothel with a large image of that room and a return button, with some help from our main programmer but still :)
Like what we're doing?

I'd have to check to make sure, but it doesn't really look like the hire bar/casino staff button actually did anything except cost you more money. There's a lot of code for an older system for running the casino and etc., but it was shut down and not working in any version I've ever played.

Good to hear that it'll be English. I'm interested in seeing what you guys will do with the game.

Nice. Looks like they're going down the line with the unimplemented jobs, which is good, because if I keep developing mine I probably won't move on with a lot of those (hence the not designed to replace whore master mantra). Minor suggestion - keep the color scheme fairly neutral if you or whoever designs it can. I see a dramatic shift between greens, blues, and papyrus colors. It makes the scheme seem very loud and will detract from any pictures. Bright colors are probably going to detract the most. The screen showing the building looks nice for example, but the whiter outlines on the buttons are the loudest part of the screen instead of the photo. The blue X also stands out because it's breaking the color scheme.

But I don't know, it isn't like I'm looking at the game in action.

From the way you talk, it seems to you study game design and/or had a mentor that teach you.  Since senor designer probably don't have the time to work on mod and I've heard creating a game/mod is a very good way to get a game designer job, this mod could be a good portfolio.

LoL. I doubt modding/porting WM will get you a senior game designer job or even should be a part of portfolio. And by the way, what you're talking about is GUI design (Or just graphic design), game designer is way more broad and is essentially a person who can play the game in own mind before it's finished (or sometimes even before production starts).

I agree about the color patterns but we didn't give it that much thought. We are still trying to decide how many turns main part of the game should last, how to balance stats/skills/items/action points/economy/events, how the storyline will affect the game  and what new catacombs should be like (like should you be able to walk there like in a dungeon or just fight like in normal WM). Just figuring all of that out will prolly take a month since it took us about 3 hours on Skype to agree that one turn of the game last a week (not a day) and is divided in 4 parts (Morning/Day/Evening/Night)...

Thanks! I'll take that as a compliment. Xela is basically correct, though.

Xela, don't sweat it, I like the fact that the UI is being reworked and the project looks like it has a lot of potential.

I'm done with the quality testing phase and will release WM EX within the next 36 hours assuming nothing goes wrong. I'm not really satisfied with the result, but there is no point in going further until I see how badly what I've done disappoints everybody.  ;D The difficulty for me seems to still be around the same as regular whore master, but this may be because I already know how everything works. Difficulty can be adjusted later on.

Will you be releasing a starting girlpack with it as well ?
Since presumably ours would have missing images and stats all over the place we might not be getting the balance you intended.

Yeah, I'm uploading all those packs I made right now. It's enough girls to play a game on its own without needing to add your own.

lemme see if this lock button works....
