The "Todo" List!

So, I actually spent five minutes really reading through this thing...   I'm not sure what is and isn't still planned, but there are a couple things in here that are worth commenting on, I think.  Mostly just to say "this would be neato!".

So, going down the list:

Seriously, guys, this whole thing is well worth reading.  There are a lot of planned, or once-planned, features hidden away in the list that deserve comment or, in a few cases, awe.

Switching to the "TRAITS" section...[/]

A Caring trait for those soft heartedgirls.
 
Sexy Tattoos (raises Beauty maybe)scary tattoos (raises combat slightly, and maybe BDSM,) and magical tattoos(raises mana and magic abilities) and maybe have like a sexy, magical, andscary tattoo kits in shop that are expensive.
 
Piercings (has ears pierced) Heavilypierced (has nipples and navel pierced as well) and Fully Pierced (has clit andvag pierced) I'd have each set reduce constitution and rebel slighly and raisecharsima. And have items sold in shops that when applied give the trait, maybehave girls like getting earrings but not like nipple and clit sets.
 
I'd also suggest chaging the lolitatrait to "Has the body of a young girl" or something instead, becausesexually active implies they've had sex but most of the generated 18 year oldsare virgins which sorta makes that feel weird. Also, having big boobs shouldcancel lolita.
 
A 'mature' trait for girls above acertain age wouldn't be too bad to counterbalance the lolita-trait.
 
Actor - Whether she's faking or notyou'll never know.
 
Afraid of Men - Very fearful of men,perfers women.
 
and a Animal Lover thats does the samething as Lesbian but for animal >.>
 
Archmage (Higher Tier class): MaxMagic skill. High rebelliousness. Expect her to be blowing holes in yourdungeon unless contained. A master alchemist to boot, she can create somerather wonderous items.
 
Assassin (Higher Tier class): Expecther to escape fairly easily, and expect to find plenty of bodies dropped deadalong her wake. Hope it isn't you next. She will be nearly impossible to find.Of course, she can serve as quite a useful tool if you're on her good side.
 
Bard: A travelling performer of dance,song, and stories. High charisma and natural beauty. Inspires people with hermusic (increased happiness and patrons). Can also invoke sorrow (decreasedhappiness and patrons). Depends on her loyalty and happiness. Is really damn goodat performing for the patrons (once light-side "Escort Clubs" are in)
 
Barmaid - This girl has worked in abar and is used to serving drinks and taking tabs and tips (in game could givea bonus to working in the bar or give a boost to the Constitution Agility andCharisma stats
 
Big Bang-every time she gets a exp,all other girls get 5% of the total amount.
 
Blackguard/Dark Templar (Higher tier):Same as Champion. Has Dark Magic instead of Healing.  Max BDSM. A slayer of men. The blackest ofhearts. She enjoys the suffering of others.
 
Blessed: Luck is always on her side.More things of good fortune happen to her.
 
Blind: This girl has absolutely nosight. Training is only half effective. Rebelliousness lowers at twice theregular speed. Customers will not be as satisfied.
 
Brainwashed: Through the wonders ofmagic, she is under your command, of course there are a few minor side effects.Zero Rebelliousness, fear is reset, hate is reset, however all skills drop tozero and must be retrained.
 
Celestial-Blooded: Hurting this girlwould make you look like the devil himself.
 
Champion (Higher Tier Class): Can healherself (and allies if applicable), high rebelliousness. Higher magic andcombat. Higher regeneration. She who slays demons, expect her to kill you firstif you wrong her. Giving her platemail and a long sword is a very bad idea.
 
Charismatic: Increased Charisma. Sheis a natural born leader, negotiator, diplomat, and fast talker. Damn, she'ssmooth.
 
Chubby
 
City Guard: Your local city guard. IsMarked (See below). Has same properties as the Warrior. Has very little sexskills.
 
Cleric/Priest/Healer/etc: Highrebelliousness, higher magic, but is less inclined to fight. Regenerates HP ata faster rate. Can cast healing magic (probably need to include Magic Shacklesto seal their magic).
 
Cultist: Same as Cleric. Uses Darkmagic instead of Holy magic.
 
Cursed: Gee, seems like she's alwaysgetting the short end of the stick.
 
Dancer - This girl is a skilled dancerand is used to performing in front of people (in game could give the girl a boost to her market charisma, Constitutionand Confidence) 
 
Dark Knight/Fallen Paladin: Same asWarrior.
 
Dungeoneering: This girl understandshow to optimize a group's chances of survival during dungeon exploration.Decreases damage/casualties on a dungeon run, increases chances of loot.
 
Emotional: She has alot of moodswings. Happiness gain is doubled, happiness damage is doubled, rebellious gainis doubled, hate is doubled, fear is doubled, rebellious loss is doubled.
 
Energetic - Has lots of energy to burn
 
ER specialist- will remove girls incritical condition from their duties so they can rest, this also removes  her from her duties so she can tend to them.
 
Fiend-Blooded: Hurting this girl wouldbe considered a good thing for society.
 
Fighter/Warrior/Paladin/etc: Expecthigh rebelliousness and combat skill. Expect lots of resistance.
 
Guard Captain: She has dealt with cityscum similar to you for many years. Is Marked (See below). Has same propertiesas the Warrior. Has either Max rebellious, or over 100% rebelliousness. Has onenegative trait (Iron Will, Fearless, etc.). Has almost 0% sex skills.
 
Hateful: Much like the Sith in StarWars, they are almost always in a state of hate. Hate is tripled. Rebelliousgain is doubled.
 
How about a Shape Shifter trait thatlets the girl answer any customer fisical fetish (big/small boob, Loli, GreatBody, maybe even futa)
 
If there's going to be a steriletrait, there should probably also be a fertile one.  In fact, there should probably be oppositesfor most of the traits (seems like this is already implemented for some: fastorgasms vs. slow orgasms, etc.).  Also,it would be nice if you could see/mod what the traits actually do.
 
Imperial Assassin: Specializedassassins trained in various hidden temples around the world. The best of thebest, and they are only sent out to kill high profile targets that threaten theentire kingdom. Similar to the Assassin and Spy Master. Max Combat. Marked (SeeBelow). Extremely hard to detect. Will escape easily. Will leave Goons aloneunless attacked, her primary target is YOU. Expect yourself to lose your head ifyou don't have some elite guard. Automatically has Cold, Iron Will, andFearless traits. Has zero sex skills.
 
Intimidating: Man, to think that yourGoons are scared of women. Goons fight less effectively against her. Keepspeople in line, and inspires fear.
 
It was thinking that there needs to bea Royalty trait (it could increase gold gained or just be a fetish) An annoyingtrait might not be so bad either (it could lower the girls looks)
 
Kind Heart- will lower chance ofgetting your other girls sick by 10%, taking a higher rate of 20% her self.
 
Mage/Wizard/Sorceress/etc: Expect highmagic skill. Possibly higher rebelliousness. Expect resistance. Her skills willbe useful in item creation, if you can persuade her.
 
Marked: This girl has been marked witha magical tracer from the government officials/law enforcement. Expect them tocome crack down on your business, fine you, and take the girl back. (Can beremoved with items or magic)
 
Master Thief/Spy Master (Higher Tierclass): Expect her to flush your entire vault of cash and your store house ofitems. Get on her good side and she'll swipe anything you ask... for a price ofcourse. You don't find her, she finds you.
 
Medic/Healer: A local healer. She willheal those around her. She has 2x regen.
 
Mercenary: This is an add-on to anyother class. Instead of following a proper alignment (Good, Law, Evil, Chaos,etc.) they follow whoever dishes out the most cash (or pays cash revelant totheir skills). Rival gangs can hire these units to torment you. They won'tstick around unless you keep them payed.
 
Moody - Never completely happy.
 
Necromancer (Higher Tier class): Ableto call the undead. This can be either a blessing or a curse. If she likes you,expect her to bring in free goons. If you're on her bad side... well... don'texpect to come back alive.
 
Obese
 
Overweight
 
Paragon of Darkness (Higher Tier): Theembodiment of all evil, the chosen of Satan, you can't get more corrupted orsoulless if you tried. Same as the Paragon of Light. Uses Dark Magic instead ofHoly. Has 3x regen instead of auto-resurrect. Killed enemies becomes her undeadminions (replaces Healing Magic).
 
Paragon of Light (Higher Tier Class):A saint chosen by the gods. If you're trying to contain this person, you'd bestgive up. She has the gods on her side. Has one free auto-resurrect. Max Magic.Can cast healing magic. Can cast deadly holy magic. Maybe if you prove yourselfworthy of the light, she'll be on your side. Until then, she is either yourenemy or a neutral party.
 
Pornstar- increases money made from"movies" by 10% (this trait does not stack)
 
Red Wizard (Higher Tier): This girl isa member of the clan of mages that knows no morals. High Magic, highrebelliousness. Allows you to perform magical experiments. Starts with Twistedtrait.
 
Seductress - skilled at taking theinitiative - possible "blackmail" activity
 
Showgirl- Brings in more customers toyour houses.
 
Tactician (Higher Tier class): MaxCombat skill. High rebelliousness. She'll make your life miserable byformulating plans and strategies to bring you down from the inside. Expect arebellion to form at your feet if you don't keep her contained. However, herskill may be put to good use if you're on her good side.
 
There's a suggestion for a hirelingand/or girl trait - "torturer" break down resistance more rapidly,and less chance of serious damage to the livestock, umm, girls, I mean.
 
Thief/Rogue: Has a higher chance ofescaping. Will be stealing items constantly, and with increased success. Shewill also be harder to find.
 
Upbeat - No matter how bad things getshes keeps positive.
 
Wanted: You can only wonder what thisgirl did to piss off your competators. Expect lots of attacks on your place toeither kill or kidnap this girl.
 
Weapons Master (Higher Tier class):Max Combat skill. High rebelliousness. Don't expect her to go down easily.
 
Zen Sense: Through training andexperience, her blind disability doesn't hinder her any more. Negates Blindpenalties.


List has been edited for copies and to get alphabetized.

Most of these seem to be related to specific "adventurer" type jobs; I suspect they're carryovers from necno's original dungeon crawler idea.  Those should probably be scrapped.  Otherwise, I love most of the ideas here...   

elsewhere, both in the forums and in the todo list, necno mentioned that he's planning (at the very least) a weight system.  Is this still happening?  Are you going to extend it further, as you said you might?


There's also a whole blurb on how necno planned to implement the new building code...  I wonder how much of this he followed in the end.

Does in fact mean to put them within the gangs. 
Yes weight is still being worked on, its not a difficult thing to balance but i'm still trying to see if it actually adds anything to the game other than needless fluff or complication.
And yes the building update is the main focus of the next update so it will be included. I will also be implementing all the awesome fixes the other coders have done on the program and from 1.30 forwards we will be working with the same code.
The next version is still perhaps a week away and will include all the "IN PROGRESS" section except for talking to customers in the dungeon since its kind of a low priority, depending how this next week goes I may be able to release on Friday.

I know this sounds a little contrary to my normal opinions, but sometimes it's better to have a little fluff - so long as it doesn't actively distract from the greater game.  For instance, think of something like the Civ series, or Age of Empires.  Both of them included hefty sections with historical references and general information, none of which was really important to anything.  Even so, the games were made better by these "fluff" additions, even if they didn't influence gameplay at all.  Having a slightly more detailed body system would, in my opinion, serve much the same purpose here. If you want to ignore it, fine, but for those people who want to know that girl X weighs 115 pounds, is 5'4", and a C cup is all the more engaged.

I'm not especially for or against tracking weight, but if you do, girls should gravitate towards the skinny side during normal circumstances for one simple reason: They're working full-time as prostitutes, which means that their entire day consists of physical exercise.
The truth is out there, but it's usually pretty boring, so people make up interesting lies instead.

I'm not particularly for or against the weight addition either. I don't see it altering gameplay too much other than making you be more choosy with your presents.
As well as making customers like them less if they get TOO overweight. While a small group may be more interested in them. I guess? I dunno, doesn't matter too much to me.

Well, I feel better, while I did check my game directories for a text file that would tell me something about the future, I now know that there isn't one for me.

Well apparently, I never upgraded to 1.29 even though I thought I did.  I got the 1.23 or 1.26 full download (whichever it is) thinking it was a full 1.29 download (reeding r hard), and then updated the 1.29 megafix and 1.29.2 patches without 1.29 (still worked with some interesting side effects). Now that I have properly downloaded the 1.23-1.29 patch I do have the todo file.

As I said in the other thread when i discovered this,  Doh, I'm a dolt.

Makes sense.  I'm not sure what all gets changed in the updates, but the 1.29.X fixes included the entire .exe file - which, I suspect, was the main thing to change from 1.26.  I'm not exactly sure how all the other things mesh together with that.

*images of turtle like gang members moving around in the catacombs carrying ridiculous amounts of loot/gear* or just the generic roleplay character who always seems to carry a tent, a donkey and a weeks supply of trailrations around along with the odds and ends that makes his day. Yes i think weight will play a minor role but a limit may not be a bad thing to what your leader/girls/gangmembers can carry.
 
possibly let the strength/stam stat combined determine what you can haul around (how much and for how long)
The line between lunacy and genious is very thin.
So far i haven't been able to find it.

I had a thought related to items and rebalancing the autopricing function.  Some of us make ridiculously expensive items with relatively minor effects just to make cash have a purpose in the late game, so perhaps the autopricing system should take into account the preset price, and price the item at the higher of the two costs (in other words, if the creator priced the item higher than the autopricing function does, use the creator's price).
