Title: TRBACP
Post by: TF on April 18, 2010, 10:54:30 PM
Get the first pack here:

Part 1 (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?1mjniyzzozy), Part 2 (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?yjwzq5mnn2m), Part 3 (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mzml1jknnnw), Part 4 (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?zgwzz2wffwh), Part 5 (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?n2kamojyv4e), Part 6 (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?mkmduv1mjlk)

Compiled girls files (http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?5gmjanykwzz) - Make sure to delete all the .girlsx and .rgirlsx files in the Characters folder to avoid any conflicts.

Get the second pack here:

Part 1 (http://www.mediafire.com/?zzznm2w1zlu), Part 2 (http://www.mediafire.com/?vnmyizk0yfy), Part 3 (http://www.mediafire.com/?2cnoyojkjlt), Part 4 (http://www.mediafire.com/?hjxkvjm2kjz), Part 5 (http://www.mediafire.com/?tkz1evzzlym)

.:Notes:.  The files are 7zip files, and you'll need it to unpack them. The contents of the archive are the *entire* Characters folder contained within the Resources folder of the home Whore Master folder. Using the latest WM client from the pinned Download v1.29 thread, unzipping to the Resources folder and choosing to overwrite all should give you exactly the same setup I have atm (I've only had one random crash so far, and I've played the better part of an in-game year with many loads and more than a full brothel of girls.) All the old .girls files have already been converted to .girlsx (same for .rgirls) a few duplicate chars have been removed, and I fixed (hopefully) Amy Rose by hand, as I couldn't seem to get either the original girl info or the fix to work properly (her skills were blank in the original, and the fix would crash the WM Editor.) Thanks to all the original creators, I hope I attributed everything I used and did it correctly. Details about the packs are in the next post.
Title: TRBACP Information
Post by: TF on April 18, 2010, 10:58:41 PM
If you would like to know which girls are contained within each of the packs used, please consult Mehzerz' Master List (http://pinkpetal.org/index.php?topic=321.0). It's been invaluable putting these packs together and almost every girl, if not every one can be found there.

The first pack contains girls from
:

Exodia91's Megapacks 1-5
EternalEquinox's Megapacks 2.5-5 + Tenchi Muyo Pack
FStop's Supah2 and Supah Dupah packs
Balmung 60's Fire Emblem pack
ChaosKishin's Sailor Moon/Sailor Scouts pack
Mehzerz' random girls pack 2

The second pack contains girls from:

Balmung60's Girlpacks 1-3 and Vandread - No changes.
Mehzerz' packs including:
Back to the Future - Story edits (grammar, spelling)
Elves - No changes, I think.
Windows Girls - Minor story changes.
Royalty - No changes, I think.
Folk Lore - Untouched... I think.
Fires_flair's packs including:
Pack 1 - Kept Vivasia... extra pics for other characters to be added in later.
Pack 2 - Extra pics for Cute Girl and Cat Girl set aside for later; descriptions added for Kousaka Tamaki and Asamiya Athena
Pack 3 - Any folders without corresponding targets in .girlsx file set aside; descriptions added for several girls.
Pack 4 - Extra pics set aside; minor description edits.
Pack 5 - Extra pic set aside; descriptions added for Shiomiya Kanami and Zange... could not for the life of me find information about Karen (aside from being from Dark Chapel).
Randoms - Changed plural names and descriptions to singular since each "girl" will have a single name in brothels. Minor description edits.
Fstop's packs including:
Supah - No changes, I think.
Supah Street Fighter - Had to change Elena to avoid conflicting names... Cammy White and Chun Li have extra pictures but aren't in the .girlsx file, so are being set aside to either be released in a picture update pack, or to put in myself if I release a compilation of the compilations. Extraneous .girls files disregarded.
Jason2003's Small Pack - I think you might enjoy Jessica Rabbit's description ~_^
Zorlon Jones' Anime and Random Packs - Some folders were hidden for some reason... unhidden now. No idea if it would've affected gameplay.
SGB's Randoms + Tomoe Pack - Had to change name of fairy folder and rgirl name due to conflict. Need to remember to put together Spunky Girl from first pack and Younger Sister from this if I combine packs later.

All .girls .rgirls .girlsx and .rgirlsx files in the second pack have been compiled down to one .girlsx file and one .rgirlsx file.

Are all of these girls in single .girlsx and .rgirlsx files? That'd be a huge bonus to getting this pack. Too many of those things clutters the whole folder. As for 7zip I'm pretty sure rar will still work if people prefer that. (Don't quote me on that though)
Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack
Post by: TF on April 19, 2010, 06:09:49 AM
Awhile back, I tried condensing all the girls I added to just one .girlsx and one .rgirlsx, but it ended up breaking the game, so this time I left them all separate. I personally don't mind them separated, but it's not a huge deal for me to create a compiled file, so I'll go ahead and do that and add it into the second post with a note to make sure and delete all the extraneous .girlsx files if people want to use it.

As for winrar, winace, or whatever archiver people prefer, they could very well support 7z files in their current incarnation, but I haven't bothered to use them in awhile since 7zip has yet to fail me.

::Edit::

Files tested and upped.

Of course, it shouldn't be too hard to write a tool to combine and split apart girlsx files.

Hmmm...

can't seem to do anything with these files keeps saying there damaged or corrupted.

What were your exact steps anyway?
Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack
Post by: TF on April 20, 2010, 06:42:12 AM
Aside from installing all the girl packs and making sure they worked for me, just creating and uploading the archive.

First, are you using 7zip? Second, are you trying to unpack the .001 file? Because everything's packed into one archive and .001 is the first in the archive, and the only one that will fully unpack everything correctly.

::Edit:: Forgot to mention, you'll also need *all* the files. I know that's generally covered with the "all one archive" thing, but thought I should spell it out, just in case.

If anyone downloads this and can confirm it works for them, I'd appreciate it.

On the other hand, if other people *can't* get it to work, I'd like to hear it too, so I can work on fixing whatever the problem may be... unless of course nobody's interested and this was all an exercise in futility, of course.

Wondering if this pack excludes lolicon or will that have to be edited out by personal preference?

edit: Downloaded and looks like there are a few to edit out by personal preference. Also to TF, looks like some of the files in it are corrupted and I tried it with 7zip and Peazip. Mostly just the profile pictures and a few others can give an output file if you want quite large actually.

Post by: TF on April 22, 2010, 12:10:19 AM
Any specifics you don't mind taking the time to post would be great... that way I can try to see if something's wrong in the packs I have, the zipping, uploading or downloading. I'm taking it you got a you received a corrupted file message while unpacking the archive, correct?
Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack
Post by: xorgroth on April 22, 2010, 04:28:10 AM
Not everything was corrupted in the folders maybe one of the parts is corrupted but its a fairly large list of what failed to be extracted. This is a log from Peazip with uses the new beta 7zip but tried with the current stable release as well.

Just noticed the log is too large to post here. So uploaded to mediafire and I'll try to redownload tomorrow.

Mmmkay... well, I've already tried unzipping the original files I uploaded without any problem, so my next step is to download the versions that are up on Mediafire and try unzipping them one at a time with the files I know *do* work. If I can recreate the error, I'll reupload the errant file. If I can't get it to mess up, I don't know what to say.

Just to be completely sure, you did unzip WMCharacters.7z.001 with all 5 other files in the same folder, right? Trying to unzip out of order or without all the archives *will* cause errors.

::Edit::
.001 extracts fine.
.002 extracts fine.
.003 fixed... extracts fine.
.004 extracts fine.
.005 extracts fine.
.006 extracts fine.
Compiled girls files extracts fine.

The file that was uploaded incorrectly has been fixed, I'm still going to go ahead and check the rest of the files just to be safe, though.

::Edit:: Thanks for the feedback, xorgroth, hopefully the pack'll work for you now.

Damn it... that damn file is a pain in my ass. Sorry it took this long, but I just moved over the weekend and got the internet hooked up today. I'll reupload now that I'm back online and let you know when I get it up and tested... *again*.

::Status::  Everything works at the moment.

You might want to consider getting an account to mediafire, that way you can keep track of what's up and what isn't. :o I say this... without having an account of my own. But your file is so big!
Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack
Post by: TF on May 05, 2010, 07:04:19 PM
Oh, I've got an account... I didn't think it was possible to upload without one. I'm pretty sure that when I deleted one of the failed uploads, Mediafire decided to go ahead and delete the working one as well, since they both had the same file name. Anyway... I'm working on getting a fresh working upload on there, but for now a torrent is online and I'm seeding. It'll probably be a bit slower than a direct download, but given that it's proving almost impossible to get a ddl online, it should be a hell of a lot more reliable.

::Edit:: Got the Mediafire link working again (finally), and I'm keeping the torrent up, so with any luck that'll be the end of problems with the pack for awhile.
Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack

Just to dip a toe in the water, I'd like to see if putting together the pack went over well and if there's any interest in putting together another compilation. Since the first one seems to have... stabilized, I'd be happy to see about collecting another large set and having seen where most of the problems lie, I think I can say that if I do put another pack together there'd be a lot less trouble with broken downloads. I'll check back tomorrow night and see if I should get to work.
Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack
Post by: RyRain on May 09, 2010, 09:07:03 AM
It was very helpful, but there's one thing to note about the pack for people who don't like duplicates. Sailor Mars, Venus, and Jupiter are in two separate packs with slightly different names (one with the sailors one without). It's not that hard to delete the duplicates and combine the image folders so it's not that big of a deal, just something to note.

Thanks for the work TF, I'd love to see another pack.
Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack

I think a monster pack would be cool. I'm not sure if there's enough to warrant a "*really* big ass combo pack" but it'd be cool. I'm working on a few now. I'll finish them by tomorrow I take it.

Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack
Post by: TF on May 09, 2010, 10:49:43 PM
@RyRain:  If duplicate girls have the same name, I can generally catch them when I'm combining the packs together without a problem, but if people want to give me a heads up about packs with doubles just in case, it couldn't hurt.

@Mehzerz:  I can't really say that I concentrate solely on specific types of girls... especially in a pack this size. I was going to try and make sure to get a fair bit more random girls this time, anyway, since the amount of uniques is getting so high in comparison, so I'll do my best to throw in a fair bit of monster girls if I can dig 'em up. ~_^

@James:  *::Edit:: Torrent is attached to first post now* I do believe the Pirate Bay has deleted my account and all of the torrents I had there. I've got no idea if or how I've broken any of their rules... I've sent them a message and have yet to hear back. Anyway... I attached the torrent to my first post now. It should have all the same trackers and I'm still seeding, so to hell with them.

::Edit:: Have to apologize, Mehzerz, I spoke too soon. I'm afraid looking around I'm having a hard time digging up a significant amount of monster girls... in point of fact, it seems your own packs contain the bulk of them (thanks for that, by the way). Thanks also for the Master List... it's invaluable for this.

Looks like there's enough material posted in the Master List to put out even a third combo pack. After a third combo pack (if I even make it that far) I was thinking about adding in the extra pictures for already created girls I've seen floating around and putting up a *tremendous* pack comprised of all three, with all the extra pics I can track down added in. Needless to say, it'd be *HUGE* (somewhere around 3 - 3.5 gigs, I estimate) and would take quite awhile to upload and check fully, but what the hell... it'd be cool to put together an incomparably large pack.
Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack
Post by: RyRain on May 10, 2010, 03:44:58 AM
Wait, third pack? Is this your second compilation? If so I can't find the first one. Or is this just a fusion of the two?
Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack
Post by: TF on May 10, 2010, 04:00:38 AM
I'm working on the second compilation at the moment (1.1 gigs atm, but I still need to check for duplicates and such). I'm pulling girl packs from Mehzerz' Master List, and I'm noticing that there's still a good deal that won't be covered in this next release, so I was just planning ahead.

::Edit:: Did a fast and dirty test... the game didn't crash on me trying the girls in a small variety of activities... managed to nab one or two which needed the name of the girl/folder changed, and pics called up fine. Files are archived and are weighing in at 865 megs (slightly less then the just shy of 1 gig first pack.) I'm going to start the upload now and hit the hay... if all goes well, I'll be testing later today with the pack available tonight.

torrent works now thanks.

My new ISP seems to have decided to put a bit of a hitch in my giddy-up. Apparently I now have a per diem download limit which, once exceeded, puts a huge crimp on my connection speed. All of the uploads I set up last night failed, and I apparently have to wait another half day before full connectivity is returned. Meanwhile, I guess I'll just have to taunt all three or four of you that have swung by with the fact that I get an extra day with the pack that you don't. =P

I'm still seeding the torrent, just so people who are trying to get it won't think it's dead, but my already limited upload capacity is going to be practically non-existent until tomorrow.

Regarding doubles, the plan in the end is to move all the pictures into a single folder for each, then take a look at the conflicting girl files and using my own judgment, decide which has the more appropriate story and stats (possibly rewriting the story to combine if both are decent) and get rid of what's left over.

By the way, you can check out the second post to see which packs are in this next release and a few details about what I've done with them.
Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack
Post by: RyRain on May 10, 2010, 10:11:13 PM
Not positive by after looking through the names a few times I THINK Venus, Mars, Jupiter, C.C. and Soi Fon are the only dubs in the first pack. At least that's all I could see, but I've missed the obvious before. Thanks again for the compilation and to all the creators of the packs. :) And of coarse the game creators for making such a interesting feature. I love games with editors.

Edit: Scratch that, I found another one. Lyndis. Both with the same name.
Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack
Post by: TF on May 11, 2010, 03:37:35 PM
I'd noticed the double versions of Soi Fon and C.C. before and I've now found Lyndis and Lyn, but I'm having trouble tracking down the extra Sailor Scouts. Are the dupes listed under the actual girls' names? If that's the case, let me know what they are because I don't actually have any firsthand experience with the Sailor Moon series, so I'm at a bit of a loss.
Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack
Post by: RyRain on May 12, 2010, 02:18:56 AM
No. The one's listed under the Sailor packs are listed just as the following:

Jupiter
Mars
Mercury
Moon
Pluto
Saturn
Uranus
Venus

However one of the other packs contains these.

Sailor Jupiter
Sailor Mars
Sailor Mercury

I believe those are the only three that are dups.

Post by: TF on May 12, 2010, 02:48:06 AM
I think that either there's a mistake being made, or I'm confused. I assumed you were talking about duplicates in *my* pack, and I *have* taken note of the three that have been found there so far (C.C. Soifon and Lyndis [thanks for that one, btw.]) However, I've been looking up and down through my pack and while I do have the Sailor Scouts, they're all listed as Saturn, Jupiter, Neptune, etc. I can't find any girls in my pack that say "Sailor."
Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack
Post by: RyRain on May 12, 2010, 09:21:04 PM
Scratch that, your right. In must have been in one of the earlier packs I installed that's gone now. I thought I'd already deleted those but I guess not, but re-dling your pack confirmed. Sorry about that.

Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack

Apparently my own copies of the archive were corrupted earlier today when I got the BSOD... sadly, this means if any of the files were corrupted during the first upload, there's no way to salvage the pack now. I still had all the individual packs that were used to make it though, so I've recreated the pack (with some very minor differences) and will be uploading again.

WMCharacters2.7z.003 downloads with a file size around 4.5 meg - as opposed to nearly 200 meg for the previous part. I think that may be the problem with the second pack.
Title: Re: The *really* big ass combo pack
Post by: TF on May 15, 2010, 10:04:23 PM
When nobody said anything, I *almost* left well enough alone... however, I'm naturally mistrustful, so I remade the pack after my own got corrupted and just finished uploading it today. Now that I know there's a problem, the files have been switched. Thanks for the feedback and sorry for the broken file.

If anyone downloads the pack and unzips it successfully, I'd appreciate the confirmation that it's working.

The fresh copies of parts 3 and 4 are up (the links in the first post have been updated to the new files.)

Now if everything went correctly the MD5 sum for Part 3 should be:  3b9dfcc996f463b40819d90cf72218a8, and the MD5 sum for Part 4 should be:  a03f54b76169259328a190682ac423ba

Sorry it took so long, but Mediafire's been a bitch lately and I had to attempt uploading at least five different times.

Ugggh... son of a bitch. Alright... I'm working on it.

@RyRain:  In Pack 1 there are separate girl files for all the packs used, but I've made and linked a compiled set of girls files as well. For the second pack, I compiled everything down and there's only one set of girls files covering all the girls in the pack. Both girl files for both packs should stand alone and cover *only* the girls in their respective packs. Hope that clears that up... I'm off to see if I can figure out what the hell the problem is *now*.

::Edit:: It looks like Part 3 is correct now, and Part 4 is the only one that's broken... let's try uploading yet again... spending the entire time wondering why Mediafire can't do *something* to check for file integrity.

...Can someone who has the complete torrent please seed?  I've been waiting over a day now for the last few bits.

The link for Part 4's been changed out for my latest upload attempt... go ahead and see if it works for you... I'll have to wait until tonight to check it if I don't hear from anyone.

I've been seeding the torrent almost non-stop since I put it up, but somehow I only seem to connect with some peers. However, the files for Pack 1 on Mediafire should be the exact same as the ones in the torrent, so if anyone who got them off Mediafire wanted to be a good Samaritan and get the torrent and just tell it to save wherever they're storing the files, it should just do a hash check and start seeding.

Looks like it's working now. Thanks TF. :) I'll scan it for dubs when I get the chance.

Found two Aegis. That's the only one I saw from a first scan through.

Hi,

I installed both packs including the compiled girls files and while the random girls appear correctly, the unique girls (from both packs) don't show up at all. I'm stuck with only the default girls.

I didn't start a new game, but in the gam.mast file the girlsx files (Girls.girlsx Girls2.girlsx) are listed correctly.

Is this supposed to happen?

I believe that when you start a new game, the girls files are loaded and the configuration is saved, and that when you add girls files and then load a previous saved game the configuration that was saved *updates* old girl files, but doesn't *load* any new ones. So, if you want the new girls to show up in an old save, *I believe* what you have to do is to compile all the girls from the new files into the old ones. Keep in mind that the default girls are already contained in the first pack.

If that all makes sense to you and it works, don't bother reading further, but if you've never compiled girls files before, first open the Whore Master Editor (the one in the root Whore Master folder... it says WMEdit.exe). In the Girl Data tab click "Load Girls" and find the girls files for both the packs I created... can't recall if you can load both at once or if you'll have to do them individually. Anyway, once they're both loaded click "Save" and save as Girls.girlsx in the Characters folder. When you load, it should refresh the girls file you've been using with the new girls.

::Note:: I can't say for sure that this will work since I've always started a new game when I've added new packs. I'm only recounting what I've seen around the forum.
Title: Re: TRBACP and Scripts
Post by: TF on May 30, 2010, 09:18:08 PM
I've decided that, with my current bandwidth restrictions, rather than try to put together another pack, for the moment, I'm going to try and write some scripts for the many girls contained in the packs thus far. (If I can figure out how to do anything at all with the script editor, that is.) If anyone has some helpful tips about understanding the code in the editor, I'm sure it would expedite things, and I'm also wondering if it's possible to use player actions to trigger events that would alter a girl's background story, traits, skills, or other stats.

For example, I'd like to write a trigger that causes Astaroth to instantly love the player if she's given an item that cures sterility, and another that changes her story if she gets pregnant. I also think it would be a nice touch to be able to change quite a few girls' stories when their love for the player reaches a certain point to reflect their change in attitude (e.g. Amy Rose is no longer fixated on her "boyfriend" or Crimson Viper "seems only to love money, her daughter Lauren and you.") I think that though the changes would be small, they could make a world of difference to the experience and give a much greater feeling of accomplishment. Like I said, though, I have no idea whether much or any of it is even possible or if I'm limited primarily to additional dialogue.

Also, when girls are characters in the same show, game, etc., it would be fantastic if talking to girls (perhaps when you chat about general things) could possibly trigger events that allow you to meet the other girls they would know from their respective universes and possibly convince them to work for you, capture them, steal them from rival slavers, etc. It'd also be nice if the girls giving you information was contingent on whether they liked/feared you enough. I think it'd be a really fun addition if you could use one of the Sailor Stars or the girls from Tenchi Muyo that you pick up to find and capture the rest.

Anyway, I'd love to give something like that a try, so if anyone could let me know what's actually possible (and how to do it), I'd love to hear about it.

I would hold off on any elaborate scripting until DocClox overhauls the scripting functionality.  Daggoth noted that pretty much any character specific script outside of meetgirl currently isn't picked up by the game.  Take a look in here (http://pinkpetal.org/index.php?topic=365.0) if you didn't already.

Well, that's more than a little discouraging... but after taking a look over in the other thread, it seems as though I can try to get the *scripts* to run just fine, it's just that I'll have to set the triggers as "Meet" to test them out, and then make a note to switch them to their proper triggers if and when the scripting system gets overhauled. Also, I'm sure that it wouldn't hurt to have some scripts ready to A. test the new scripting system, and B. make sure that it gets used. I'm sure it'd be really frustrating to rewrite the whole thing only to have no one use it. I choose *not* to be discouraged! (Until I realize how incompetent I am at writing scripts, at least.)

Part of the problem is that tabbing doesn't work right in the provided editor.  While it automatically fixes itself to a certain degree when you hit save (that's how I was able to make my sample script), I have no idea what will happen if you try to make an elaborate multi-layer script.  One good place to start mucking about would be in the WM scripts folder.  While waiting for upgraded scripted functionality, you could try your hand at filling in the missing 'Talk to Girl' branches or make new ones.  Since we know these scripts will trigger and when, you should be able to easily test whatever you want to try.
Title: Re: TRBACP and Scripts

All these difficulties make me wonder how the scripts were written to begin with. There has to be some way to write new scripts if it's already been done. Perhaps if I knew that, then I (or others) could write out some kind of bare bones template for what's needed to get the formatting set properly and then use the script editor to fill in the details.

I'm writing a new script (or attempting to, anyway) and I'm using the Cammy meeting as a template. I've noticed that there's a stat check in there, but I can't seem to find any reference to *how* it checks the stat... I don't think I actually need to use it at the moment, but it's making me wonder how the stat check works.

Well, not exactly. Lua won't work quite the same as the current scripting system, so any scripts will need to be remade.

Perhaps I shall put the idea on hold, then... at least until I understand what the differences will be.
Title: Re: TRBACP

So, I said awhile back that I was probably going to create a 3rd combo pack, but then decided to work on scripts instead, only to put that idea on hold when I found out scripts would be vastly different when lua integration was finished. Instead of going back to work on making a new combo pack I just sort of left things... sorry for that. Anyway, I'd like to make good on my word and put out another combo pack, but considering I have satellite internet, I have huge restrictions on bandwidth and it'll take me a bit to put one together (I'm shooting for about a week.) Anyway, if people would like to let me know which packs they'd like to see in a new release, I'll try to work on incorporating them, removing any errors or duplicates from the first two packs, and getting the whole thing out as quickly as possible. If there's a big enough response, I might even make a 4th pack. ~_^

::Note:: This time, when uploading, I'll make sure to post the md5 checksums for my original files... should help make sure that any faulty uploads get fixed *much* faster.

I PM'd you already about it Mehzerz but I'm actually working on something like this.  :D Just have to brush up on the MYSQL syntax.

Trivia of the Day: Did you know that Desc and Group where Reserved Words in Mysql? Did you also know that these words appear in the girlsx file as stat fields? Did you also know that putting these words in a SQL Select statement makes MYSQL spit out an error with little to no clue as to what caused the error. Did you know it takes a dumb ass like me 4 days to figure this out?  :D

Since my releases are just compilations, at least you won't have to update on *my* account.

LMAO... that's a harsh lesson.

In truth I knew Group was a reserved word. Desc, not so much. When I Changed group internally to groupsex and it still didn't work, I started digging through Perl's Class-DBI module trying to figure out what was wrong...

I guess the moral of the story is triple check your syntax. That and shorthanding description to desc breaks MYSQL.  :D
Title: Re: TRBACP
Post by: Dagoth on August 10, 2010, 03:55:58 PM
Sounds to me like the moral of the story is to always sanitize your input, even table names (desc => 'desc').  :D
Title: Re: TRBACP
Post by: Lorde on August 10, 2010, 04:46:42 PM
It's just how the Class::DBI Module handles field names that is prone to breakage. (See I learned something in those 4 days  :D )  It's supposed to make things easier. Pop the table schema in a class and call the class in the script. So you can do things like say... pop an xml document into a hash then pop that hash into the database with 1 line of code.

Course, if I was using bare bones DBI I could have sanitized the SQL statement before it went to the server. But it's been years since I messed with SQL. Wanted to get my feet wet with something... "easier".

Post by: TF on August 12, 2010, 04:15:12 AM
Mmmmkay... now that I'm finally getting to work on the third pack, here's what I'm looking at putting in at the moment:

ChaosKishin's packs 2, 3, and 4
SGB's packs 1-4
Zodiac's(?) Characters 2, Azumanga, and Galaxy Angel packs.
[Is the ModsF pack Zodiac's or Ath's? Did Zodiac just repost it? Who is Ath? Am I just an idiot reading something wrong in the Master List? I'm kind of unclear on who should get credit, but I plan to include it anyway.]
Nalkyr Maloth's packs 1-4

That should give me some work to do... if anyone knows any conflicts between these packs (either with each other or to anything I've put together before,) I can already see that there will be several duplicates, and I'm sure I can catch *most* of them, but if anyone knows any that are named differently, those could easily slip by.

::Edit:: It would appear that the Galaxy Angel pack has been pulled from Mediafire (or at least the link I tried.) If anyone knows an alternate upload for it, or happens to have it rattling around somewhere in their computer and wants to re-up it, I could still include it.

Here's a new link

and I also found an extra girlsx file for them that I attached.

Regarding my packs there are no duplicates as I made sure of it when I made them.

0.o god damn i got to download like a gig of porn wow, im not sure if this has been suggested, but could you make a torrent for these? might be a little easier (or not if nobody seeds)
Title: Re: TRBACP
Post by: TF on September 05, 2010, 04:39:08 PM
There was a torrent up a while back, and there was even about a week or two where it was decently seeded, but it long since lost the momentum it needed to be worth keeping up. If I manage to get the next pack together soon, I'll probably try using multiupload, rather than just mediafire to make things a bit easier to get at.

(I'm actually working part-time on... 6 [at least] other projects at the moment, so compiling packs that have already been provided [while a nice thing to do] keeps slipping back in my to do list.)

oh mind i mention, that risez's data, is still not complete one sat has no value and she starts with health of zero, usually causing a game crash.
Title: Re: TRBACP
Post by: TF on September 15, 2010, 07:39:19 PM
I had noticed that two different girls start with zero health (and had lamentably forgotten which ones they were, since I corrected them in the folders I was using them for [after putting out the compiled packs]), but girls with zero health shouldn't crash the game.

What happened to me is that as soon as I would get a girl, she would be deceased in the dungeon, or (if I got the girl from kidnapping/catacombs/etc. during the turn summary) I receive a message that says a girl has died in the dungeon and her body is already removed before I can check (which meant I had to check all the girls in the .girlsx file individually to see who had no health, since the message didn't say *which* girl had died.)

I should really go back and extract fresh copies of the files I uploaded to find all the girls that have no health and make note of them in the first post.
Title: Re: TRBACP
Post by: James on September 15, 2010, 08:19:35 PM
yea but i think that since reisz has a blank field (no value) for one of her stats, that might be causing some problems, then the fact she dies and is removed is simply irritation.

i think its her inteligence that is blank.

as for other girls, i dont know i just checked my two girl files, and i didnt find any other 'dead' girl, but since i all ready removed like 100+ girls that i didnt like for X or Y reason im not sure.
