What affects disposition?

How can you maintain a pleasant disposition or what do you have to do to increase or decrease it?

Letting deadbeat customers and rivals go improves it.  Killing, torturing, kidnapping, etc. lowers it.

If you've got enough extra cash, buying slaves and setting them free is one of the faster ways I know of (which means conversely that branding slaves is pretty terrible for your disposition.)
